Membership of Goulburn Valley Regional Library is free. Simply fill out a membership form at any branch and provide verification of your current address. There is no minimum age limit, however, borrowers under 18 years of age require a parent or guardian to sign their membership form as guarantor.
HOW DO I FIND THINGS?
The computer catalogue provides a guide to all items held in Goulburn Valley Regional Library. The Library staff will be happy to show you how to use the catalogue or will help you with any enquiries. It is also available on the Internet HERE
WHAT CAN I BORROW AND FOR HOW LONG?
Adults may borrow up to twenty items at any time, including up to four videos/DVD's. Juniors may borrow up to 10 items. The loan period is generally four weeks, with the exception of videos/DVD's,which may be borrowed for two weeks. Loans may be renewed in person or by telephone providing the item has not been requested by another borrower. An after hours return chute is located at the Shepparton Library. This may be used to return books borrowed from any branch library. An overdue fine of fifty cents is charged for items returned late.
HOW DO I RESERVE ITEMS OR INTER-LIBRARY LOAN?
If you wish to reserve items, you can do so via the phone or at a branch library. If you gain a PIN number from the Library, reservations can also be made via the Library's online catalogue
Items that the Library does not hold are usually available through our Inter-Library Loan service. Phone 58321 626 to order an Inter Library Loan.
A small reservation charge applies for these services.
DO YOU ACCEPT DONATIONS?
Donations of books or money are gratefully accepted. Donated books that are unsuitable for the collection are sold at Library books sales
