INTERNET

All branch libraries offer free access to the Internet. Users must be registered Internet members. Bookings can be made during the current week at any branch. Please ring your local branch for availiabilty.

COMPUTERS

Computers for word processing as well as a range of CD-ROM programs are available for free at all branch libraries. You must be a member of the library and bookings are advisable. There is a small charge for printing.

All Library computers run the Microsoft Office suite of programs :

Access 2003

Powerpoint 2003

Publisher 2003

GENEALOGICAL RESOUCES

Genealogical research material is available at Shepparton Library. A number of indexes are available on microfiche and CD ROM.

The Shepparton News is available on microfilm (currently 22nd May 1879-30 Dec 1970)

THE TALKING SHEPPARTON NEWS

The Talking Shepparton News is a free service provided for those who are sight impaired, unable to read, hold a book, or turn pages. It is mailed weekly to registered users. Return mail is provided at no charge. Please contact Shepparton Library on 5832 1600 to register.

PHOTOCOPIERS/FAX MACHINES

All branch libraries have photocopiers and fax machines available for public use.

VCR's and TV's are available at Shepparton, Cobram, Euroa and Numurkah libraries. Please ring your local branch to enquire about availiability.

SHEPPARTON HOME LIBRARY SERVICE

The Home Library Serviceis available to any person residing in the City of Shepparton who is unable to personally visit the library.

There is is no age restriction however the applicant will be required to supply a doctor's certificate or referral from Health and Community Services.

This service is provided with the assistance of volunteers from the Friends of the Shepparton Library.
